Install problem on Maya 2012 x64 SAP

Hi! I've tried to install the ShaderMonger v. 1.12 under Windows 7 x64, but when I run the installation file - nothing happend. I saw only this: Picture. When I pressed the install button - neither happened too. What should I do to install it properly? And can I download mel and lib files, but not the exe file? Cause I use custom folder for maya preferences and it's very comfortable for me (and maybe I'm not alone here) to have the ability to install my plug'ins into custom directories. Thanks.

P.S. This problem was at my work computer. I tried to install it at home and I could see the "Maya 2012 x64" checkbox. I have installed it (there was a green message "Installation complete" about successful installation), but there is no shelf in maya. Again nothing happened... Can you share only files, not exe file? It will be great... Thanks.

the installer works with standard directory structure for maya
which means it looks for the conventional directories :


try creating those directories manually and reinstall using the installer.
then move the files to their respective directories under SAP.

that would be the quickest way for you.
let me know if this works for you if it doesnt,ill try and upload a manual version of it asap.

I've replaced files into custom directory and it's all ok now. Thanks. :-)

And I'm again... ))) Maybe due to my work machine, but... I can't press the "Close all Groups Tabs" and "Open Group Tabs". I mean there is no result. And how can I rename my groups after I import *mb files into ShaderLib folder?

Hi , well , i dont reccomend manully copying the files like that to a directory.
cause you will get them with out the textures and with no thumbnails.

my advice is to apply it on a sphere and press the "extract shaders" button.

also , make sure there are no numbers in your group names.

to rename folders, check the checkbox under the shaders and then press the "move selected" button .
you can move to current groups or create new ones..

im Glad you like it ! thanks for the kind words :)
make sure you press the like button and share with your collegues.

Also try publishing your shaders to the website using the "share online" menu .
the general idea is that if people share , we'd all have lots of shaders to work with...
